We were completely unimpressed with this ZAR32. It's missing many features that most data recovery products offer, like the ability to recover deleted emails along with encrypted or compressed files as well. However, this program does support RAID drives and dynamic disks.

ZAR32 wasn't as easy to use as some of the other products that we reviewed-just compare its screenshot with our top pick.

When starting a scan, the first thing this product does is check your hard drive to tell what type of file system it is using. Although we know our computer uses a NTFS file system, this program reported we were using an FAT system. Then, when it scanned our hard drive using the FAT file system, it couldn't find any of the data that we needed restored. This product also didn't have a search engine that we could use to find our files after the scan.

We suggest staying as far away from ZAR32 as possible.
